Latitude59, the startup and technology gathering series based in Estonia, will hold pre-events in Uganda and Zambia for the first time. The sessions come before the organisation's Nairobi conference later this year.
Organisers say the new stops are meant to reach local founders and strengthen ties among innovation communities across Africa.
The Nairobi summit is set for 3 and 4 December. Kenya will host it for a fourth year running, with African founders, investors from abroad and technology companies in the room.
Last year's Nairobi edition drew about 2,000 people. Organisers expect a similar crowd this time, including roughly 600 investors from Africa, Europe, the Nordic region and Asia.
The flagship Latitude59 meeting in Tallinn this May brought in more than 3,000 participants representing over 70 countries, underlining how widely the series now travels.
Latitude59 has already moved beyond Europe, with earlier events in Singapore and South Africa, as part of a push to connect innovators across regions.
The organisation will also stage a Singapore evening, New Nordics Night of Innovation and Investment, on 28 October during the SWITCH conference, extending its activity in Asia.
