Spotify has renewed its licensing agreement with Joe Rogan for The Joe Rogan Experience, retaining a programme described as the platform’s leading podcast and the world’s top show.

The multiyear agreement is worth roughly $250 million, according to The Verge’s report on the renewal, which cited The Wall Street Journal.

Unlike Spotify’s earlier exclusive arrangement with Rogan, the renewed deal allows new episodes to be distributed both on Spotify and through other outlets. The change keeps Spotify attached to one of podcasting’s largest audiences while widening the show’s reach.

The agreement underlines the continuing value of prominent audio personalities to major streaming platforms. For technology companies competing for attention, licensing terms and cross-platform distribution remain central to how high-profile creator content is acquired and monetised.
